Seigler is an ex-Marine who was stationed overseas between 1990 and 1998. Although Seigler has long been an aficionado of golf, it was during this period that he developed a professional interest in golf. After leaving the military, he decided to pursue a career in golf, and enrolled in the SDGA-Myrtle Beach golf school. He also took courses at Golf Made Simple when he was preparing for his PAT.
